A connection is not one person alone, always reaching out and taking hold of nothing, always, always wondering if it's them that's missing something. A connection is comforting.
And I'm extremely lumpy and grumpy, always wondering if I'll get mail today. Did I not write 50 letters to pen-pals seeking friends? Did I not get two responses out of all 50 sent? That's fifty. That's not a connection; that's silly.
