Peace, Elizabeth-Anne. I was elated to have received a comment from you. Yes, you could very well say I have my head screwed on right, but it hasn't come easy. They say nothing worth anything ever comes easy, so I've taken it that I'm a special person with views that should be heard by the world. Since I was very young I always had questions that couldn't be answered. In the meantime, I was confronted by realities of my environment that couldn't be ignored. With no coach I was playing a game that no one played in. The stakes were for keeps, and realizing this I played hard. I come from where people live and die to get money, just to blow it all. Never making a plan of what to do once the money is made. Never realizing that wealth resides within self, and to be rich is the absence of needs, not the excess of wants. Not bearing witness to these facts, we neglect what's real and the ones that matter. Placing your hope and faith in something or someone that you have no connection to or with, breeds a helpless and hopeless mentality. So I observed that in this world we have two major types, those who let things just happen to them, and those that make things happen. Understanding that you are a part of the ultimate source, gives one the strength, courage, and ability to make things happen for self, given that we all have free will and choice, for a purpose. I love and respect my elders, but as they were waiting for a miracle, I was out creating my own. Lessons were learned, by way of mistakes being made, which has elevated me into a confident and enlightened man. My experiences coupled with fervent studies that I maintain, gives me the understanding to be able to answer my own questions. I watch the world news because I understand that my view is but a lone star in a vast universe, yet I illuminate my space as best I can. Syria: the war within, has been making world news headlines for a while now, and as I watch I realize even more that the war begins within self before it spreads to a people. In my own chaotic moments I have manifested destruction of myself, my family, and my community. Today I am a producer of peace, I use my incarcerated time to build up brothers to be a people of principle driven life. Where once I prided myself on getting money, paying bills, and partying life away, today I give jewels that last a lifetime and I'm blessed for it. Check for my latest from my corner of the world.
