There are a many of days when
I look at my life - and before I can
Even ask the self-accusing question
I tell myself, "Oh, you know how!
You got in this fuck'en mess."
And I feel like it's a losing battle,
Every foot I take forward, a boulder
Usually arrives on it and I have
To spend days, if not months
Trying to not only set my foot free,
But then get around or over the
Damn boulder which is set only,
Or mostly path of my struggles.
But, like an anthropologist still
Scribbling field notes as he's being
Boiled alive by modern day super-predatory
Psychological cannibals!
Yet and still, I rise.
