Art Work

Well, here's my first drawing in pen. It's a lot more difficult than drawing in pencil. It's the shading which makes it harder & MUCH more time consuming. I'm working on a few others that I'll have up shortly. I'm also in the middle of a painting that's driving me insane.

On the day to day life, things are at the height of exciting... the prison is doing a fundraiser for injured animals by selling us pizza from Little Caesar's - what?! Look out now. 2013 is starting off in peak form. I can barely contain myself. >:) Just playin'. It is cool though & I am looking forward to Pizza Day. A lot.

I still can't believe it's already 2013. Last year blew by & hopefully this one does as well. If I stay out of trouble, I'll be headed to a medium security prison towards the end of this year. Just a bit more freedom.

Anyway, I've got to get this in the mail so this is it for today. Good day to you,

Mike

Hello Mike! I appreciate you responding and I really do enjoy all of your blog posts and pictures. I will keep reading if you post more and feel free to comment back on this and maybe we can keep this conversation going or whatever you would like to talk about. I am asking a few people on the betweenthebars.org blogs some questions for my own research and was wondering if you would answer them if you felt like it. What are ways that some men deal with missing women in prison? Do you think men change not being around women? If so in what ways? How do you think this affects them when they are released? How do men deal with their "needs"? Do you think men become more reserved or dont know how to deal with a womens "touch" when released? ;) Does your state offer conjugal visits? if so do you see any difference in men who get them? if not do you think it would help or not? Do you have access to regular pornography magazines? Do prisons discourage masturbation or allow it openly? Do you think some men abstain from masturbation and show other forms of emotions to overcome these frustrations (like anger, depression)? Do men who have a significant others on the outside act any differently than men who dont have a significant other on the outside from your observations? I just want to hear your input on this out of curiosity. Speak your mind. You don’t have to hold back. Nothing will offend me. Haha. I would love to maybe see a blog post about this too. Thank you. Hope to hear back soon.

I would love to see you post more blogs as well!

Alyssa :)
