Hi Pablo!
I transcribed your letter, I hope I did not make mistakes, as I am Italian my English it is not perfect.
I am sorry to read that they denied your Parole. I can imagine how much important it was for you after more than 40 years in prison. Unfortunately, joining a gang at just 11 years old is a life-destroying experience. I believe it is impossible to develop a balanced personality when you grow up in such a negative environment.
In the last sentence of your letter, you say that you still have faith in God. This is a beautiful feeling. We all need God's help, forgiveness and mercy.
God is particularly close to those who have had a hard life due to unfortunate conditions in life.
I will pray for you if you want.
If you want you can answer me through the site betweenthebars.org., where I read your letter.
I could tell you something about my country and culture.
Best regards.
Alberto (Italy)

Hi Eric,

This is Ben Jeffers from the Prison Mathematics Project. I wanted to let you know that we have paired you with a mentor and they will be reaching out soon, possibly through betweenthebars. I'd never heard of this site before so I wanted to test out writing a message to you on here, I'll also respond with a physical letter.

Thanks,
Ben

If the prices has went up on the phone calls and commissary in Georgia prison. Why is it we can't spend more than $80.00 or have store call twice a week. or as the older inmates has discussed raise the spending limit to at least $150.00. I don't think stamps and hygeine should be included one inmate says: Is disney politcally and leisure bias? first they tool CNN from the viewers but fox remains. Now they pulls out ABC, ESPN, Fx from Direct TV, Its already factual that the viewers don't get their money worth for basic Direct Tv. 41 stations out of all the hundred of station direct TV carries. Their should at least be a gundred in the basic package. a contract negotiation any company should never disable its viewers or customers, the customers suffered from not having CBS for months. Now this, Thier Should never be a penalty to any customer. YOu need the customer server so disney need to get it together. Buy direct TV completely or find someone to merge with where the customers and viewers will never have these issue. Majority of Americans likes movies, sports, awards, debates and news. OUt media is heavily polluted becaseu we have people like Donlad Trump running for reelection. The news itself is not polluted for me its very educational to know what is going on in america and nationally.
American Why is it that sexism is raining in our mindsets. Secondly why is it the american people (some not all) is so egotist (self-centered person) in racism, sexism and love drama. In this election, I've paid attention. Kamala Harris has been pouring her heart in the policies that she will be fulfilling in office, when she made president. Even showing many americans as the gas, cap drug price etc, Negotiation ceasefire. Even sharing her personal life with american as TIm Walz the same. Biden had still been working tirelessly. While the people under the assumption of donald trump and vance who is sly by piggy back off kamala harris campaign all of certain is donald trump is concerned about IVF women reproductive. Who do you see all white women standing support him. This is the white man minning mentality. This why Georgia has never had a black governer, some countries has never had a black mayor, judges and district attornies, look at our governor staff in georgia predominately white.
Every system is rigged up so the white man can win at all times. While immigrants, others and black brown fail systematically hard. We got these conversation going with our election local and nationally. Cause every should have a fair voting process, election, with justice, to get education, etc. (more)

Livy Dunneʻs "hips donʻt lie." They donʻt do much of anything... because she doesnʻt have any.

So, the "i" in "iphone" stands for "intelligent" right?

So, why donʻt they call it "Applei," instead of "Apple Intelligence?"

This Just in: Apple computers say that thereʻs no such thing as AI.

I love when someone from the media says that they "don
t want to be the news." So you got into journalism to "not be the news?" The phrase "canʻt prove negative" comes to mind.

Where were you on May29th, 2018? That ʻs the day my radio was born. I was still in Goose Crech. Iʻm in Anchorage Jail, now. Actually, I mayʻve been in Lom. On Crech when my radio was born. Iʻm listening to it right now; its a jensen.

Russell,
This is Severns. You gave me this contact before I went on vacation back in July of last year. When I went on vacation I planned to return to work and retire in October, however, I ended up staying out on vacation until December and my first day of retirement was actually December 26,2024.
I did have opportunity to talk to Mr. Rojas and he told me that you had paroled. Congratulations! I hope things are going well for you. I'm sure there are lots of complications and challenges but I hope and pray that with God's help you are successful in readapting to life on the outside.
I don't have a computer at home, so was limited to using my smart phone which has a very small screen and slow to type. Today I have a few minutes between patients, so I'm taking the opportunity to send you a message while I'm at work. This is much easier that trying to type with your thumbs or hunt and peck with one finger.
Also, I wasn't sure how this website works, so that caused me to be a little reluctant. It says that they will print and mail my reply, so I hope you get this message. I don't know if or how you will be able to respond to my letter, but I'll give it a try and we'll see what happens.
As I said, I retired from the state December 26th. I'm still working in the community three days a week. That leaves me with a four day weekend every week and yet does keep me busy with something to do the other three days. Seems to me to be a pretty good balance!
I want you to know that I have prayed for you. I confess, not as often as I intended, but you are in my prayers. If you are able to get a message back to me maybe you can let know some specific things to pray for and that will help me to be more consistent.
I would especially like to know about your hopes for going to Arkansas and start a nonprofit to help others who are getting out of prison. I pray that may someday become a reality. I suppose you will likely need to complete your parole time in California, so it will likely be a long term goal.
God bless you brother as you are readjusting to life outside.
Ron Severns
