Wow! What an unbelievable story. I cried when I read it. You have certainly painted a very explicit picture of what a limited adult endures in the prison system. I am so angry right now. I can't believe your friend Scott was treated so shabbily and was set up to fail. This is just another example of abuse of power. In spite of all your hard work and concern for Scott our system failed him. I truly hope you keep us updated on any information regarding him and I will also keep him in my prayers. That being said, thank you for being such a good person to be so concerned and for helping a fellow human being.
Your blog posts are great Teze! I like your poetry especially.
I'm going to vote tomorrow but the bigger problem seems to be that prisons are just invisible. Neither democrats or republicans really run on platforms that are trying to improve or hurt the quality of life in prisons. They mostly just don't talk about it one way or another.
How do you think we can make this issues more visible.
Also, although I grew up in Seattle, I've lived in the home of the Red Sox for long enough that I can't sympathize with feeling sorry for the Yankees. :)
Fantastic first post. You speak eloquently and entertainingly, although I doubt that BU will put the dog/bacon analogy on any of their brochures! I am looking forward to your next post.
Excellent submission, Mr. Muise. I'm struck by the lack of recourse you have as a prisoner. In virtually all other institutions, there are systems in place to be heard.
On a related note, I look forward to reading more from you.
I also like the idea of the blogs. Nice work.
