Clouded Views by Ronald W. Clark
I sit on death row day after day
Watching my life waste away
Yet I think back on a life I once had
Where times now don't seem so bad
Thinking of all the love I had
But the drugs surely clouded by view
And ruined my life and others too.

Life as I see it surely can't be
The way we live life back here unfree
For this is truly not a life
And anyone can see
That life back here just isn't meant to be.

Dear Collardgreens

You're referring to Stacy. The reason she didn't get caught up in that, is number 1, she would have been too smart to do something that stupid. She is very intelligent. But I think by the time all of that was taking place, she was getting ready to marry someone on the street. That's when Tom found Wendy. Now you know. Please take care.

Thanks for the reply! I remember her (and Josie, too) from days long past when I'd visit an old friend at UCI. We'd gather together across the street to check in for visitation and pass the time in conversation. Josie was so easy to talk to, but Stacy seemed far too reserve to chat easily with folks. Hadn't thought about all that until just recently when learning of Tom's demise. I'd heard that his friend from Texas was one of the last people to visit with him, so the ol' curiosity bug struck. All these many years later and she was still visiting him! Searches on the Internet after his passing led me to Behind the Bars. I've enjoyed reading your posts very much and appreciate your replying to my initial query. Continue to hang in there and share what you know to be right with the world.
