Dear KeepLookingUp,
Thank you for your comments and for reading my writings and being interested enough to engage in conversation. That really means a lot to me, that I am being heard. So often in prison our voices go unheard, as we scream to be heard, but nobody is there. However, for me, now, I have a voice and being a part of Between the Bars, feels real good.
As for the lockdown, that is still on, but not as bad. They have restored most of our privileges, i.e. showers, recreation, going to the chowhouse to eat (unfortunately, the meals didn't get any better! Hot yes, better no - but then I am in prison. :) ), visits. Things like that, but we are still technically on lockdown, and the lockdown wasn't bad in itself, just how it was conducted. Especially when they preach to the media and the powers that be in the Capital, that it's done as humane as possible. That is an absolute lie!
But again, thank you for caring enough to respond. I will probably blog again mid May. That one will most likely be on Malcolm X, most people speak on Dr. King, but exclude Malcolm from the conversation. I admire Malcolm X, for what he came from, and it is very important not to forget him. SO that will hopefully be my next posting. Unless you have something for me to write about?
