"INTO THE NIGHT"

Hope lays
beyond this constine razor wire
with smells of perfume around & about
jobs that give people twinkles of satisfaction
the comforts of a real bed
celebrating a romantic evening by candle
robins nesting uncomfortable in a front yard
while cats watch near by
perhaps I can attach an S.O.S. on a cricket
& releasing it into the night
I long for liberty beyond prison
I'm drawn by the sweet smell of women
****
Anything that entails kindness baffles
CDCR employees...this torch is passed on
by veteran employees.
