Compliments From My Censors
Recently the Special Investigative Services Department of the Federal Bureau of Prisons began to censor me on frivolous grounds. A newspaper was rejected for an article critical of the agency. A package of emails sent to me was rejected for containing "possible codes". Several of my outgoing letters were sent back with memorandums outlining why I was prohibited from sending them out. One reason for one letter was that sending a letter to the media outlining staff misconduct by names, dates was prohibited. At first this was discouraging and pissed me off. But now I view it as a compliment from these federal bureaucrats who obviously view my ideas and words as dangerous. There is no greater compliment to a citizen than for his government to deem his speech a threat to the status quo. A threat to business as usual. To a lack of integrity. To intellectual dishonesty and obstructionism. To the enemies of innovation, free will, free speech and the association of libertarian idealists. So thank you to my censors, you motivate me to push forward with my in your face freedom of speech.
