The new global economy and prison outsourcing.
The olden days when prisons were immune to the outside world's money fluctuation are over!!!
Here in Wisconsin Department of Correction [WDOC] - in circa 2010 our food portions were reduced to save money. And canteen-store prices ever increasing.
On August 19, 2013, WDOC contracted to outsourced its canteen-store to a private co., namely, Keebler, St Louis, MO.
But what takes the cake is all of those prisoners' canteen jobs were also outsourced.
Yes!!! In this new global world economy, even prisoners' jobs are being privatized and outsourced!!!!
