USA federal government shutdown, to be or not to be!
In our mainstream media - the new "old" question of will the Republicans in Washington allow the government to "shut down" over government spending - is rambling on - again!!! See e.g. CBS Face the Nation, anchor Bob Schiffer - at CBS.com, Sun., Sept. 22, 2013; and guest [at his old school best] on CBS Morning News; Fri. 7:00 a.m. C. Sept. 20, 2013.
The real question here is why "the Tea Party" and Grover Norquist and the like, words are not taken as their bond: an indiction of their true intentions and action plan?
They are exponents of the ideology of delimited federal government; small state governments; state rights; no taxes and so on.
They openly expound a way and mean[s] to achieve their stated genuine worldview. Mr. Norquist, on public record: we will shrink the federal government down to a size where we can drown it in a bathtub. It's his plan in action - shown on C-SPAN, and elsewhere - to use the House budgetary powers to set the national agenda; esp. the nation's debt obligations to force Obama to heel, and he boast that Obama will heel, and give them what they want! This is that plan in action!
They want delimited federal government so Republicans can rule from state governments. This is evinced in at every opportunity Karl Rove and gang boast about Republican governors and purported their policies' success as illustrations of how to govern. The likes of Indiana; Michigan; Texas and Wisconsin - and others. With power invested within state governments, national elections become irrelevant!
Why are they not taken at their word and their manifested actions!
