Press conference
Tuesday, October 08, 2013, President Obama held a press conference, which was carried on the TV networks.
Naturally, the current government shutdown, 8 days in, dominated the conference.
I think his response to the reporter's question of why he would not sign the House Republicans' piecemeal bills spending for specific programs, example, FEMA: GO ELSEWHERE.
But here it's very important to seriously note the House Republicans' aim to degrade and usurp the Presidency [and Senate Democrats] to signing their/the bills, while they run the whole federal government in his and the Senate Democrats' stead! A Machiavellian aka Grover Norquist and Karl Rove playbook.
