RE: Property... (Post).

On October 15th 2013 after I had returned from medical about 10:00am, the program was shut down. No yard or anything. I went back to my cell and was going to do my exercises when the front pod door opened.

I saw about ten gang unit guards coming in and they came directly to my cell and told me to strip down. Afterwards I was handcuffed and pulled out of my cell. There was a few of them taking pictures of me as I stepped out of my cell. I was told to go out to the yard so I walked out there and saw there were a lot more guards out there.

I was put up against the wall and one gang unit officer was taking pictures of me from different angles. Then he started taking pictures of my body tattoos.

After they finished one of the gang unit officers in street clothes said he wanted to talk to me. He asked me about another prisoner and I said I didn't know how he was doing because I haven't seen him in years. They would know more than I would.

He was telling me that things have changed out in the general population and they are thinking of releasing SHU prisoners and he wanted to know if I had any problems. I told him no, that I could go out to any mainline. I know what he meant. There are a lot of idiots in prison, I know it only too well. Better than he does in fact. I've lived with them, and had to put my foot in some their asses. Life in prison is not like summer camp, and you must make of it what you can.

Like any other place in life your fate and destiny is in your hands.

While I was placed in the shower a few of them went in my cell and started putting my property in plastic bags. They took all my property, and loaded it onto a big laundry cart. After they put me in my cell they did the same to two other guys. The guards said they'd bring the property back after it's searched in two or three days, which is Thursday or Friday.

On Thursday around 1:30pm they brought one guy's property back, so i hope I'll get mine on Friday. If not I could be waiting till next week or longer. One time they kept my property for three months. I hope they don't do it again.

It's messed up not having your property, not having nothing in your cell to do. I can't write because I don't have any paper at all. I borrowed some scratch paper from another prisoner to take notes.

I went out to the yard and exercised then came in. I also spoke with a nurse about my medication being changed, they lowered the dose. So I've sitting in my cell with nothing to occupy my time, then my light went out on top of that. So now I'm pissed I'm now sitting in the dark all damn day with nothing to do.

Then on Friday they brought my property back, and when I saw it on the cart I was mad as hell. They just threw it on the cart so it was being smashed by books. A lot of my art work was wrinkled and damaged. It took me a whole day to put it all in its proper order. But that's what these guards do, and it's how they get back at us who they dislike.
