18 Sept. 11
Hello!
From
Matthew Jankowicz
My baseball team won the first two games of the finals. If we win the next game, we win the championship. We won the first game by twenty points and the second game by thirty points. My softball team lost again 18-9. We play our last game of the season next Saturday.
I want to tell you a little about my high school years. I was class president three years in a row, from my freshman year to my junior year. I was in the Beta club, National Honor Society, and Who's Who in America. I was also voted the most outstanding leader in my senior class. I played football (running back) and ran rack for six years. We were Kentucky State Champions in my junior and senior years (1976-1977). I was also on the swim team. I was nearly a straight "A" student in high school and the eight years I was in college.
When I was in my early twenties, I was in the Navy. I competed in power-lifting and won 4-5 middle weight competitions. I was near the top of my class in grades. I was a M.C. for a calendar girl pageant before thousands of people in my junior year in high school. I also was in charge of the junior/senior prom. I was very active in high school, and it went by very fast. I had a girlfriend and boyfriend at the same time in my junior and senior years. I always tried to treat everyone by the "golden rules": do unto others as you would like to be treated. I still miss a lot of my friends from high school, even though it's been many years. I had a lot of good teachers, especially my French and humanities teachers.
I went to Valley High School in Valley Station (near Lakesville), Kentucky from 7th to 12th grade. I graduated in 1977 and joined the Navy on 7/7/77.
That's all for now. Feel free to make comments or write me. :)
