Re: Property Search (Post)
On 10/21/13, they brought me a 128 Chrono with a copy of a drawing they planned to use as a source item as proof that I'm involved in gang activity. The drawing is a hat with a gun and gun belt with the 16th of September written on one side. This was drawn to honor Mexico's independence from Spain; it's a national holiday for all Mexican people in Mexico and the U.S.
Yet these folks here want to make it illegal for us to celebrate it or have anything that mentions it in our possession. They may as well tell us that being Mexican is a violation, as anything related to it obviously is in their eyes. They don't want us to study our history or culture either. We aren't allowed to read certain books.
On 10/22/13, they came and raided more cells. They took all of their property. One guy just went through all of that a couple of months ago, and they did him again. The only difference is that this time, it wasn't just the local gang unit. This time they had about forty of fifty gang unit staff from across the state helping them. Very strange. These guys usually don't do that. They are usually only out on the streets harassing ex-prisoners.
I was surprised to see how many of these they had come in here. I'm guessing a lot of them have not been in here, which may account for all of the pictures they were taking. My neighbor told me it was like them paparazzi guys chasing people.
Or maybe they know their days of treatment is almost over, and they're taking pictures for the memories.
