A Verse

by James Collins (author's profile)

Transcription

[black-and-white drawing of tree branches looming down onto poem. Two garden gates are opening and frame the following verse.]

I shall pass
through this
world in this
body but once.
Any good
therefore that
I can do or any
kindness that I
can show to you,
let me do it now.
Let me not defer
or neglect it for
I shall not pass
this way again.
