I'm a Mental Health inmate-always on the brink of suicide. I've attempted it several times. I'm currently in CDCR Suicide Prevention Program. Here though the majority of the inmates are not suicidal-so staff do not take any of us seriously. Many of the staff won't even stop by the door-especially the female staff-because of the perverts like to be seen masturbating. Those guys even masturbate in group settings-being very disrespectful to even other inmates. Oddly enough most of them are black inmates that act out in the perverse scenes. When leaving their cells they are required to wear a special jumpsuit that is paddle locked so the inmate can not masturbate in groups. I think too that staff make them wear them to not only as preventative measures but to let the inmate population know they are perverts.
