What Done Is Done

What's Done Is Done

The calm air that I call peace is becoming clear and clearer
Finally I understand the person who staring back through the mirror.
I have come a long way
Against the struggle of bad memories, now I'm glad to say
Today my soul is a friend to me.
I'm still learning to respect and heal my spirit.
Although over come only whispers
My ear is trained to hear it.
Occasionally it is said that my life can't be forgiven.
That my soul is lost in the abyss
And my heart is sinfully ridden
Listen ... What's done is done. I await the sun.
I to give light to a new path
I sit alone and await the dark
Cry, my tears have run out and it's okay.
Because I've been crying a while, it finally feels good to trade in these soulless tears, for a heart in shape of a smile.

WOW! Bravo. well said and beautifully written. prison is no life, what's done is done, we cannot go back but only move forward and learn how to heal ourselves and be better versions of who we were yesterday.
I salute you.
