If I Ever

I've given myself wholeheartedly, allowed her love to become a part of me, to the point where nothing even mattered, knowing that she would one day be my wife, my queen, at times when we're together. It felt like I was living a dream so it seemed, our bond so strong. We were stronger than a chain linked fence. I was truly convinced she was for me, you know. Like the saying "ebony ivory". Damn. All I can is is "if I ever."

One day, I was listening to Ludacris Miguel needin' a real good loving, bothered by the things I've seen. 'Cause love don't love me anymore, even when I've expressed that I'm going to love you like I'm going to lose you. Love you like we're running out of time!

It's hard to read between lines when you've poured your heart out in a way that's so strong. It lines up with the cry of our soul when we lose a part of ourself to life in the most unimaginable way. All I can is is "if I ever!"
