@ Golgotha w/Joe
an interview by: xzyst

(The Tone)
Today is Sunday, 10:45am, August 23, 2015. Outhere on the upper yard condemned Grade A Walk Alone Cages.

Temps are cool, starting to warm up a little, and as far as I can see, it looks like all 32 cages are
occupied by men, a lot of socializing chatter and exercising, working out going on.

It's not often that I'm next to the same prisoner everytime we come to these cages, especially since
it's only 32 cages and approximately 75 prisoners assigned to recreational program to these cages, especially
when you facto in prisoners coming from D unit, and C unit commonly known as Carson and Donner Sections,
and let's not forget the 1st 13 cages being reserved for the EOP Mental Health Care program, do the math.

So, it was good to see my potna Joe today. I dont know alot about Joe, I met him after he made his
transition from Knucklehead to what he is becoming now.

Always treat the New Generation with respect, and has been a supporter of Piankhi's Creative Writing Project
since day one, with no strings. Joe authored "Guilty" in issue #1 of The Write Or Die Zine Project, and also fielded
a few q'z by Piankhi that found it's way into the @Golgotha interview section of issue #3.

Today I get to pick Joe's brain as we pace back and forth inside these cages. This is one of the new ciphers I've
done after my choice to no longer use profanity in my work. Met Robain and Sister Kathy, while also
realizing that I owe my next generation better quality product, and when God has his hand on a persons
life, I believe what comes out of the mouth should reflect that reality.

Enjoy our work, as we get better,

J What's the next one going to be about?

XZ Piankhi has a few more in the works, but one of the growing topics in America is
the bloodshed on the streets at the hands of law enforcement, so a conversation is
starting @ betweenthebars.org/#NGR about this, and He's creating a new zine series
loaded with comments from all over the world.

J Blogger's or what?

XZ Yeah, but peep, it's an interactive convo between bloggers, us on the row, people
incarcerated and innercity youth, even haters are welcomed to chime in, for
example, let me ask you one of our prompt questions.
What do you suggest innercity youth do in this situation.

(What are you shooting at me for?)

J Like what, not wear a hoodie or sale ciggerettes? sounds funny but, what the hell?

XZ Great response because I can see you are about to make the human point,
that those things, don't even matter.

J Exactly, because if I'm running away from you, why are you shooting at me?

XZ Real talk huh, if ya boy is selling drugs, what are you shooting at him for? Or
if I'm just being my black, brown or young self, like Tamir Rice at 12 years
old, what are you shooting at me for?

(3 of 5)

J On parole, what are you shooting at me for?

XZ Yeah huh, what are you shooting at me for? (both LOL;)

(Personal Safety APP)

J They should flip it around and we all should start wearing cameras, where
live footage can stream onto a website collectively owned by the community, so
other peoples cellphones & gadgets would all go off at the same time so
everybody can see our side of the situation.

XZ So now thats 2 views, which gives cops a second reason to remain professional
because now everybody is watching in real time, no edit.

J As soon as a person have contact with, or get stopped by the police, just turn
it on right there.

XZ And let em know, this is being streamed live, you know, even thats sad that in
2016 people gotta wear cameras too, I mean, it will take an App to be known
to people so everybody can get the App on cellphones, or small cameras hanging
from a chain, or clapped to a shirt. Good idea though, oh, they got bsafe,
and followmenow.com, and stop-attack.com, but I dont know if the crew at NERDS
ON CALL intended for these Apps to be used for the purpose we are suggesting, maby the
ACLU has a "perrsonal safety" APP? But, how many inner city youth even know about
these Apps, as we speak? They getf unding for police cameras, no funding for us.

(4 of 5)

XZ Good lookin, and thank you for choppin it up with us, and for those of you who read this
conversation and ask why we dont entertain the idea and fallacy that Black and Latino
inner city youth could somehow escape being killed by law enforcement by changing the
way we dress, being in gangs and on parole, hanging with the wrong crowd, or being
involved in so-called criminal activity, or not cooperating with the non-justified orders
of a corrupt cop, we offer you the following reality;

Tamir Rice Eric Garner Michael Stewart
Tanisha Anderson Michael Brown Amadou Diallo
Aura Rain Rosser Kajieme Powell Oscar Grant
Roshad McIntosh Vonderitt D. Meyers Jr. Patrick Dorismond
Darren Hunt John Crawford Malice Green
Dante Parker Cary Ball Jr. Tyisha Miller
Akai Gurley Alan Blueford Sean Bell
Ezell Ford Levell Mixson Aiyana Stanley-Jones
Omar Abrego Eleanor Bumpurs Margaret LaVerne Mitchell
Asa Sullivan Andy Lopez Daniel Shersty
Idriss Stelley Lin "Spit" Newborn Kenneth Harding
Sam Owens Alex Nieto Eula Love
Oscar Herrera Raheim Brown *Kevin Davis

--add infinitum

So, as the world prays for inner city youth, and Law Enforcement officers, it would behoove us all,
to also pray for those that attempt to deflect reality by making excuses for the blood shed,
at this point, non of us should even have a filter, when it comes to kill'n.

Hi Piankhi, hi Xzyzst,
I just noticed that two blogs of yours have been filed under "interview": @Golgotha w/ Joe
and @Golgotha w/ piankhi. Those two are the only ones filed under "interview".
Until next time,
Julia
