PRINCE THURSDAY APRIL 21,2016
THIS SADDENS ME TREMENDOUSLY! I WAS NOT READY FOR A LOSS OF THIS MAGNITUTE. HE CHANGES THE WORLD. I LOVED HIM DEARLY. I WILL HAVE TO TAKE SOMETIME TO REALLY GET MY THOUGHTS AND FEELINGS ABOUT THIS OUT THERE, BUT FOR NOW I WANT TO USE HIS TRANSITION AS A CATYLIST FOR CHANGE.
I BELIEVE THAT PRINCE HAS AT LEASE A HANDFUL OF SONGS THAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED "CLASSIC ROCK", AND I WANT PEOPLE TO CALL YOUR CLASSIC ROCK RADIO-STATION AND REQUEST, NO- DEMAND THAT THEY HONOR THIS FALLEN HERO.
I HEARD A WONDERFUL THING ON TV TODAY. SOMEONE ASKED ERIC CLAPTON HOW IT FEELS TO BE THE WORLDS GREATEST GUITARIST?, AND HE RESPONDED "I DONT KNOW, ASK PRINCE." THAT SOLO PRINCE PLAYED AT THE ROCK & ROLL HALL PF FAME'S INDUCTION OF GEORFE HARRISON WAS EPIC: SOULFUL AND TECHNICAL.
HERE ARE SOME ROCK & ROLL SONGS THAT ARE CLASSIC ROCK;
1)LITTLE RED CORVETTE
2)LET'S GO CRAZY
3)WHEN YOU WERE MINE
4)THE CROSS
5)I COULD NEVER TAKE THE PLACE OF YOUR MAN
6)RONNIE TALK 2 RUSSIA
THERE ARE OBVIOUSLY MANY MORE ROCKING PRINCE SONGS. BUT JUST TO GET STARTED. HE DESERVES HIS PLACE IN ROCK HISTORY AND THERE ARE MNY SONGS THAT ARE IN ROTATION ON "CLASSIC ROCK" RADIO NOW THAT WERE NOT PLAYED WHEN THEY WERE NEW. FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN VAN HALEN II WAS CONTEMPORARY NO ONE EVER PLAYED "DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY," OR QUEENS "JAZZ" ALBUM WAS OUT NO ONE PLAYED "FAT BOTTOM GIRLS". BUT WE KNOW THATS GREAT MUSIC. THESE SONGS ARE GREAT TOO. I STILL CANT BELIEVE HE'S GONE ZAWADI
