Praise God
Where do we praise God? ... Wherever we are in the world is a proper place to praise the One who created all things.
Why do we praise God? ... First because of what God does. He performs mighty acts. Second because of who God is. He is the all-powerful Creator and Sustainer of the universe.
How do we praise God? ... Loudly. Softly. Unexpectedly. Enthusiastically. Rhythmically. Boldly. Soothingly. Fearlessly. In other words, we can praise God in many ways and on many occasions.
Who should praise God? ... Everything that has breath. Young and Old. Rich and poor. Weak and strong. Believer and non-believer. Prisoner and free man/woman. God's will is for everyone to whom He gave the breath of life to use that break to acknowledge His power and greatness. Praise is our enthusiastic expression of gratitude to God. Praise is the overflow of a joyful heart.
With God's spirit within us and the fact that His word is sufficient for us, we must then submit to Him, follow Him and depend on Him. We cannot do what He has for us to do without Him. So, it's critical for us to look to Him, depend on Him and praise Him.
God can only guide who He governs! When we allow Him to show us and teach us, He can then lead us in the path He has laid out for us. Unfortunately, I had to learn this truth behind all these concrete wall sand barbwire fences. But fortunately I got to share this truth with you. I pray it will help you as it has helped me. Teach one Reach one... or vice versa! :)
