CHAOS IN AMERICA

July 8, 2016

I openly extend my deepest condolences to the families of the two African Americans who were tragically murdered by police in Baton Rouge, LA and St. Paul, MN.

I also would like to send my condolences to the families of the five police officers who were gunned down in Dallas, TX while honoring their duty to protect us. My regards are extended to all impacted by the tragic shooting in Dallas. Such a sad week in America.

While our country leaders sit comfortably in their amazing homes, in their gated communities, bodies are dropping in our streets. Whether it be some ISIS inspired madman shooting the innocent or a white supremacist walking into a church and gunning down African Americans as they praised their Lord, to war between minorities and police, America is in CHAOS! What is our country leaders doing about any of this? They come out and give these heartfelt speeches and then retreat to their gated communities. That's about it. Where is the leadership?

Something has to be done to unite our country. How do you unite our country, I have no clue. That's the job of our elected officials who seem to do a lot of talking and very little action.

It is 2016 and racism is alive, well, and thriving! This is the product of our leaders' inability to govern impartially. Politics, money, and power continue to hamper racial relations in America. Our political leaders are servants to their personal interests. This is evident by the support the disgusting Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton are getting from prominent political leaders. Trump nor Hilary qualify to be president. However, they know the right people so we're supposed to ignore Hilary's lies and Donald's bigotry. This is why our country is falling apart. Our leaders are too worried about their political obligations and maintaining their status amongst their establishments. They attend to our needs when they are politically motivated, but often just say what they think is politically correct.

Following the police killings in Dallas, President Obama called the Dallas shooter a coward. While I have no issue with the president's comments, my issues is where is this strong language when police officers gun down innocent Americans on camera? The president's job is to govern impartially. But his comments display his bias. This empowers the "us against them" narrative. Consequently, when people feel their back is up against the wall, they have the tendency to lash out, get desperate, and chaos erupts. This is precisely what's going on in the United States. Minorities, Muslims, immigrants, and the LGBTQ communities are all being attacked one way or another by elected government officials. If this trend continues, historic and devastating tragedies will become a regularity in the United States. When our country slips into a civil war, those gated communities will not be exempt. So our leaders need to wake up, perform their duties, and unite our country before the chaos lands at their doorsteps!

"Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law." (Roman 13:8)

I close encouraging love, peace, and patience!

Stay Prayed Up!

Sincerely,
Perrie
