Law of the Land

Glocks 45 calibers, even Barrettas,
the officer's gun, yeah! The one with vendettas
The badge they wear supposed to symbolize peace
symbolize authority, but it's unjustified in the streets.
Police supposed to protect people when criminals roam
but these officers have ulterior motives of their own.
Too many people being shot, all lives matter!
But police are not responsible, forensics collecting brain matter,
internal affairs come in, saying administrative paid leave,
and justify his force by making citizens bleed.
If committing a crime, a citizen goes to jail
and become criminals, but cops! They say, oh well.
If anyone breaks the law it'll land them in prison
It doesn't apply to police? For making those decisions.
When they pull their guns and point it with accurate aim
and pull the trigger, knowing bullets don't have no name.
When one officer let's off a round, others will follow suite
despite hands in the air, and people yelling, "Don't shoot!"
Who can we trust? To come when things get hectic?
All is joke they say, call 'em and you'll be in the paramedics.
Even when you have no weapon you'll still get gunned down
Shoot you in the back when you're handcuffed on the ground.
Some cops took an oath, others shooting one is way too tempting.
Put the barrel to your head and tell you to stop resisting.
Nowadays, it don't matter if they say, "Let's see your hands."
They'll still shoot you now! It's the law of the land!
