Hello, I'm looking for a lady friend to write.
Hi, my name is Joshua Jones. May this brief introduction of my thoughts find you ladies sustaining wonderfully in society.
As for myself, I'm not a studious person at all. I'm very lucid. By being incarcerated, I've learned how to humble myself and respect a woman's worth. I constantly sit in this two-man cell and think about my mistakes and shortcomings in life. Due to the fact that I'm in prison, I always have time on my hands.
At this present moment, I don't want to cloud you ladies' minds with my problems or my mistakes. To be truthful with you, and my myself most importantly, I'm looking for a lady of my age (35 or older) who I can correspond and confide in. If possible, anything that transpires out of this, I'll take it from there and let it be slow.
I never thought I would siting in this lonely cell again, writing the world a letter. I understand the comings and goings of those of you in society. It doesn't offer you time to sit and think, or even read about the many circumstances of others. And I also understand and believe that those of us incarcerated owe society deeply for taking away your property's rights and freedom. In some cases, like my own, we can never repay for what we have taken.
But through time, and maybe your forgiveness and our willingness to try to build ourselves up, I want to share this poem in a perfect world. We would never need to apologize. We would never speak a thoughtless word, or let each down, or break each other's heart. Love would conquer all, and a happy ending would be a dime a dozen. But this isn't a perfect world, and sometimes people learn things the hard way. We do things we can't take back, no matter how hard we try.
I apologize if one man ain't on your level, mentally, to understand how they can cause you so much pain... For giving you a reason to doubt or give up—
