Caught Up
There's too many jails and there's too many prisons
Overcrowded with men who've made some bad decisions
Too many families crying, dead bodies at a crime scene
Suspects they pack in jails and prisons like a can of sardines
No room to move around like crabs in a basket
The punishment you'll receive is cruel and everlasting
They degrade your name, your reputation they ruin
Lock you in a cage and treat you like you're not human
It's a warehouse as they're making big bucks off of us
Move you far away from your family, shackled up on a bus
Too many devils in court, way too many laws being broke
But they knew that when the constitution was wrote
Look at the bigger picture: which race has the largest population?
The blacks do! Not too many get a chance to see probation
Determining sentencing laws, hitting you with the upper term
Double and triple your sentence, thinking it'll make you learn
Give you enhancements all because you're a criminal
About 10 years worth and their message is subliminal
Give you a lawyer who is supposed to defend
But the DA and the judge are really his best friends
We employ these people and really, for what?
For temporary satisfaction. In the end, you're caught up!
