Julie,

Your comment is so valuable, and you are so right. The bloodstain between police and urban youth is horrible. Some of us are survivors of it. Seriously.

Creating a ventilative space for our young people is so vital because nobody hears the streets. We are now posting The Vent. It took a minute because we wanted to open with a rap by Kaos, one of the youngest on California's death row, because this young man explains the losses and reality of abandonment of so many incarcerated youth. In his harsh rough and raw slang, he set the tone for the rest of the contributors to engage this side of the horror. Add hip-hop.

It's ironic that the first person to comment on this ventilative social exchange is a super mom. :) Look, there are thousands of incarcerated youth that wish they had a third of the parent you are to your son, and although your horror is well understood, you must also underrated how valuable you are to your seed while he is also experiencing all three generations of regrettable porn. You're his s-hero. :)

Please find a few favorites out of The Vent. We just posted and transcribe them and continue this conversation online with us. Because very few people are wiling to engage our young people on the side we speak from, as there is no compromising slang or aggressive language that begs us to filter the reality of urban youth. Listen to The Vent.

Thank you again. We will need you. Invite somebody.
