Dear Readers,
Howdy! I hope y'all have been well and happy.

A couple of readers have asked about my Valentine's Day, and I must say that it was probably my best one ever. Things with Josh, my "boo thing", have been WONDERFUL!

I had plans for Valentine's Day for weeks. I used both my typing money and my massage money to go all out. I had a couple of people buy a gym bag, some "wife-beater" tanks, and... a jock strap (that last gift was partially for my benefit). I got him a card, of course, and I found someone else who owed me who shopped at commissary that day to get me two ice creams (different flavors). With the ice creams, I got two bowls and put three zebra roll cakes on the bottom, then put half each of the two ice creams over that and topped both bowls with one each of those extra large dark chocolate bars. Yum! Major sugar overload.

I am totally in love with Josh. I know that I've talked about various guys before, but no man has ever treated me as good as Josh has—probably in my entire life. I look back at other past "loves"—like Travis—and I am beginning to wonder why the hell I even put up with him. And what kills me is that Josh will be getting out in less than two months, and I'll be stuck dealing with losers like Travis all over again.

Now, I haven't mentioned this before but a couple of months ago, I'm pretty sure that someone insinuated my age. That I was (am) a "cougar". Whatever. For someone my age (or younger), I'm actually in good shape. Most guys my age (or younger) have totally let themselves go and are completely out of shape. I am lazy and don't work out, but I've managed to stay slim and look okay for my age. So sue me if I prefer young, attractive guys over old slobs.

About Josh: I'm pretty sure I mentioned that he's 28 (I was in my twenties when he was born). He's 5'6" whereas I'm 6'2". He's really stocky and muscled. He's bald and has a close-cropped beard with brown eyes, generous lips, and a killer smile. He is so very handsome and sexy.

He's from Huntington, WV and grew up in a bad neighborhood. He's a total ghetto thug who speaks the lingo and listens to hip-hop. He's married to a black woman. he's white and plans to divorce her as soon as he gets out.

His family has sold drugs in the past and so has he—most any drug you can think of. He's robbed people at gunpoint. He's been in and out of prison, and has done it all. He's openly bizexual and doesn't give a damn what anyone else thinks. I have no idea what he sees in me besides the fact that I am totally devoted to him and worship the ground he walks on.

In spite of his gangster past, he is determined now to open a store and various other businesses, and make a ton of money through hard work. he has previously had booths at a flea market and his own store. He would buy pallets of merchandise and sell them stuff on the pallets either at the flea market or at his store. He is constantly researching businesses and ways to make money. He is very driven.

I had my interview for Unicorn last week (the prison industrial store industry). I was dreading working there 'cause you have no free time after work, but I really needed the money. Well, instead, Josh has decided to sponsor me in getting involved in leather crafts. The plan is that I'll make purses, etc. and send them to him after he gets out. He'll continue to send me money. There's a risk, but I believe in him and I'd rather do that than be stuck in Unicorn.

Josh gets out in less than two months, on April 26th. I am going to be a wreck when he leaves. I spend almost all of my free time with him now. I rarely even watch TV or read anymore. We spend time together either in the cell or lately we'll go to rec together and hang out, or go to the leather shop and apprentice for another couple so we can learn the business. I don't know how I got so lucky to have him in my life, but I haven't had many bad moments at all since we met. Thank you, Aphrodite!

Until next time...

Love and blessings,
Kelly

P.S. I almost forgot. For Valentine's Day, Josh made me a necklace with a braided ring-type pendant that said "Joshua" and had a heart on it. He even made a display ring box for it that took about as long to make as the necklace. It was really nice and thought, and I absolutely love.

He had no idea that I was doing any of the other stuff, and he was really surprised.

XOXO
