A Letter
A letter is the warmest way
To bid a friend the time of day
To keep in touch which brings the smiles
Across the longest miles
A wealth of strength and hope
Is neatly tucked inside each envelope
Reminding loved ones that you are
In any state, country, or camp
The wealth is powerful beneath a postage stamp
For memories that never age
Are written down on every page
And though it's nice to use the telephone
One of the sweetest pleasures ever known
Are moments shared in the thoughts we send
That can be read and reread again and again.
