The Battle
There is a battle that's being fought within me
The violence so hostile and dangerous I can't breathe
I can feel the fight and hear their cries
Angels and demons, truth and lies,
I can't know who's winning, only feel the pain
I can't even point fingers for I'm the one to blame
See, in life I've led both to believe
Through words, thoughts and actions that each could have me.
But while really wanting Freedom it did not show
My actions were of evil and I hate how they came to blows
So I've got to stop this battle raging inside of me
And reveal what I truly believe.
It's time I stepped in to join this fight
Faith is my shield and love is my sword
So I rally up the angels or maybe they rally me
It's time to win this battle and share the victory.
