ICED OUT

This day and age so many young people want to be ICED Out, which refers to diamonds and represents a status of being wealthy. The saying, "Diamonds are forever" comes to mind when I think about this. Yet the ICE of this generation has no substance and, while it may last forever, how does it edify you mentally, emotionally, and/or spiritually? It doesn't. It only enhances the outward appearance and can be lost or stolen.

However there is an ICE that we should long for:
I - Instruction from the Word of God
C - Courage to follow God's instructions
E - Endurance to carry out God's instructions

This ICE has substance and will edify in all three areas of your life. God's instructions lead and guide you on a path that is meant to comfort, encourage, and strengthen you. Courage is following God's instructions despite the doubt and fear, trusting that God's word. You must have endurance, the ability and willpower to follow through and carry out what God has called you to do. This ICE is the kind that enhances from within.

Abraham had it when he left his home. Noah had it when he built the Ark. David had it when he went up against Goliath. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had it when they refused to worship a gold idol. There are many more who had this ICE. Which ICE do you yearn for? Which ICE would benefit you most?

I want to be ICED out for GOD, not for man.
