—more than 600 still missing. The fire was carried by a 40 mile an hour wind. People had very little or no warning. They're putting together a fund here to help the survivors. There's no lack of prisoner willing to help people—never has been.
My memories are juicy. They overflow with what made me strong. They overflow with memories of the Jeannie I love today—and have always loved.

Sunday
Can hardly see the fence outside my little window. They called fog line just before 8 o' clock last night. They just called the KP workers so, as of now, there's no fog line. But that can change at any time. Most likely right after breakfast so they can count heads and make sure no one snuck in for a free breakfast. ;) With the rain this past week and the fog now, it is finally feeling like winter's here.
I wrote Jimmy a letter this morning. I hope he's doing alright. I talked to his sister (Rainy), and she said he was falling back into his old ways. I know better than to get that close to someone in prison, but he's such a good kid. Everyone loved him.

Monday
The heater is on, so it's hot in the cell. It's hard enough sitting around sweating during the summer but in the winter, I want to layer up and wrap a blanket around me. The weather here is not cold enough for the heater yet. It's uncomfortable and makes for a restless night's sleep. The celly I have right now is a complainer, so he's always cold. :)
My back and leg are getting better. It still hurts some if I lay on it wrong and stand on it too long. If I'm up, I have to keep moving. Right now, I have a water bottle on my lower back and the fan on the upper back, and—
