The Shortest Blog Post

If you support and communicate with any prisoner(s): please never feel bad for sharing good things. Don't hesitate to do it. Yes, it often hurts people in cages to hear what we're missing, it hurts to remember. But it is infinitely worse to FORGET.

Dymitri,

I do write many snail mails...well, very many. I do hear what you're saying and I feel ya.

Consider the converse...

Just because one is on the out...does not mean...each in turn may experience, tragedy, pain, suffering, loneliness and loss.

I find myself not wanting to say the whole truth because no matter how hard I feel I have it...at any particular time...it can never compare to the living hell some of you live thru. My heart aches for SHU and endless or frequent lockdowns...the horror of bullying...the lack of humane physical facilities...the empty baggers...and the noise, the endless noise.

What right have I to whine about my petty little problems?

I appreciate your point however...succinct wisdom.

I remain, John Pfister

Dear Dymitri,

I have one winging your way with my address. I read something so maddening it makes me want to dash my foot against a stone. The aforementioned comment was that 34 days was not a sufficient amount of time to be inconvenienced or to induce suffering. Whoever said such a thing lacks any basic understanding of the dignity of human life, a value, a worth, THAT is not a right, it is a DEMAND of God on his people. 1 day injustice or maltreatment is too much injustice or maltreatment. Yes, I wanted to dash my foot against a stone. 34 days in hades is not a time, it is being swept under the water near the rapids, being forced down, and down, and down, not knowing if a breath of fresh air or the sleep of the fishes is what awaits. Human rights, yes, human rights is what America stands for. The failure to give ANY human being the dignity and worth of humanity is a crime against God and the individual. Violating this law is tantamount to turning your back on God AND country. I bear the responsibility of saying out loud...one day sir...one day of injustice and inequity is not acceptable. 34 days is so sad my heart hurts. I will pray Mr. Dymitri...pray and pray and pray...for love and mercy from God flows to those who seek it like a deer longs for running water. Drink Dymitri, drink. God will give you drink.

That's how I see it, anyway.
I remain, John Pfister
