THE POWER POSSESSED BY LOVE

Have you ever fell in love with someone you truly didn't know and yet they made it easy for you to love them? That person came into your life and opened a side of you that you didn't know was there. They began to challenge you on a daily basis and, by doing this, they made you a better person. But because you didn't know what love was, you might've lost out on the chance to tell that individual how you felt. And now you wished you could turn back the hands of time and say what you wanted to say for so long.

WELL, YOU'RE NOT ALONE. REAL TALK ALWAYS.

I found myself in a situation like this myself and, like most, I didn't utilize the time I had with her to tell her how much she meant to me. It wasn't supposed to be anything other than a teachable friendship. But she stole a part of me and took me on a roller coaster ride.

She (Ashton) had just went through a bad relationship and was being abused daily by the coward who claimed to love her. She was stripped of her beauty and sense of self with every blow. She began to loath and hate herself on a daily, using words of self-hate to discriminate herself. No longer a strong queen, she now believes that she was not worthy of love. She has no sense of self-worth, and believes that she is nothing and deserves nothing.

But yet, after a few conversations with me, you could see the light come back into her eyes. She felt alive. I saw her transform in front of me and change me. I was able to tell her briefly how I felt about her. Never had a chance to explain what those feelings were. But I saw a change in her when she knew how I felt about her, and just like that, she was gone. Now I'm forced to sit here and think about her and wonder if she felt the same about me. I hope she remembers her worth and validation on this Earth comes from no one but herself.

Remember that you only get one life, and you should utilize that life to express your feelings and wants. Never be afraid of opening up because you may only get one chance. And for some, they get a second chance to make things right. But why wait? Why wait for tomorrow to start when you can start today?
