dreams pull me
from the reality
of life's pains
from what passes
for the real world

in dreams I find
many mediums
to paint happy with
in a multitude of colors
where many hues
cover the background
of all the yesterdays
all the tomorrows

dreams are where I paint
true love
with all the shades
of my heart

===

how many times love painted you
with many different brushes
in many different colors
with many different mediums
in many different hues

there has never been a time
I've captured the brightness
of your lasting smile
nor the light of joy
that shines in your eyes

I continue to paint you
until the love in my heart
is all the joy in yours
you are my Mona Lisa
a true work of art
sitting next to me
I look at you in happiness
anytime my eyes are open

Mona Lisa, the Banker's Wife. Leonardo must have did over a hundred paintings and drawings of her on how he must have loved her to capture her smile the way he did.
