My Dearest Love:
My love, how many birthdays have past since I first saw you on that warm summer's evening in August of '63? I passed you by in a hurry to get somewhere. It was only your nervous little laugh that made me turn my head back toward you so you could cast this love spell on me that has lasted a lifetime. What a wonderful lover you have been. I have enjoyed the years, every moment of them. The laughter, the tears, the friends and family we collected together whom gather around you like ants to sugar. You are still sugar fulfilling my need for sweets.♥

You have aged more beautifully than Mona Lisa. She must have been so jealous of you. Your beauty has not only stayed with you as you aged, but you have become more beautiful with each new line on your face. The love lines. The laughter lines. The lines of sorrow. The lines of lost. They only come together to make you even more beautiful, my love.

I sometimes have to hit myself in the head to make sure I'm awake and not just dreaming of you. I am so lucky to share in love with you.

Happy birthday, My Heart.

I'll always love you
Forever and ever
Your Steve
