As of today only one inmate in a California prison has the virus and 5 guards. Of course as of yet they're not testing anyone in prison they just started testing the rest of California's population. They are taking the temperature of all the guards coming into the prison and they're taking temperatures at the door of medical - wouldn't want any sick people to get in there. They've started giving us chemicals to disinfect the building with (from water to to thick) I'm not going to be able to work with them because of my lungs (respiratory problems) only work at 75% and besides I got sick yesterday just standing around it and my eyes started burning and now my lungs are hurting this morning - need to get over for a breathing treatment.

I tried to make a free call the other day - I don't have a working phone number for anyone. Kind of sad when you think of it. When these people ask who you want them to call in case of emergency 'call a doctor if I'm ill, call the coroner if I'm dead.' I've been giving them that number for years. They're deferring all medical appointments (even telemeds) O'K' :) We won't see specialty doctors or any other doctors here until after this is over. combay up :)

Only a couple of days left in March - things have changed a lot this last month with more changes coming in April. I got the latest messages from the blog (mail 3/21/20) less than a week. I've been listening to people complaining that it is taking them up to two weeks to get a letter here. I hope everyone at BTB is staying well. For those of you who enjoy my love notes - read the comments posted by my tigana as she continues the love note dated 2/19/20 she still completes me - true love :) I hope you are feeling better my love - stay home - let the grandkids do the running for you for now. My short term memory seems to be failing me more and more. Not just the spelling of words but some of the things I do I don't remember from day to day or where I put things away. I have to wrestle with my brain to remember them. They say that forgetting things is just a part of an ageing brain but I'm wondering is everyone forgetting as much as I am. I guess my long term memory works alright. I remember what I remember the way I want to remember things. If the memories are wrong I have no way of knowing.

The lock down (stay at home order) was extended over the weekend to at least the end of April. We're still getting some time out of the cell. Workers who are needed for the operation of the prison are called to work - we get yard on a rotating basis - one building at a time :) The dayroom is broke into three sections with rotating times - two hours at a time maybe a little more but all of it could change at any time someone is sick in 15 buliding and they're on full lockdown :)

The last day of the month - no one here that we know of is sick yet - that's a good thing. A lot of old men here with health problems of which I am one of :p Once one person here gets it I won't see it not getting passed around to everyone - people here like to share :) One of the drugs they're testing is HYDROXYCHLORQUINE - I hope it works - I'm taking 200mg twice a day for my lupus. I can tell the weather here is starting to warm here - becoming dryer - my hands aren't hurting as much, I still can't [illegible] a fist but but the pain level is down to a 3 or 4 :| . Had a good day yesterday. Clean the cell, wash some clothes, even did some painting. This morning we have yard :) I'm already dressed of course that's two or three hours away. I've been sleeping in until after give - still got time to write a little before pill call on breakfast - that is to say breakfast in bed - people don't mind not fighting the mess hall line at six AM. I'm going to close off for now and get this in the mail today. Everyone stay safe and I'll be looking forward to hearing from you. Thank everyone at BTB for caring. Thank everyone for your mail, poems & love notes.
