Annie B. Gardiner
June 27, 1939- October 19, 2020
Anne B. Gardiner was a dear friend who stood by me and several other condemned men. She was a widower, a retired school teacher and a Bible scholar who wrote many articles on Catholicism. Yes she was a talented literary artist who was published in numerous Catholic publications. She was brilliant! She was a true saint! Never had a bad thing to say about anyone. She was always positive and uplifting. She was a beacon of light to many of us men, not just on Florida's death row, but on death rows all over this country. Many of us referred to her as Momma Bear, or Granny Bear. If you needed an ear, she was there to listen and give sound advice. She followed the teaching of Christ always showing love Mercy and compassion towards everyone!! You never know how much a death will effect you until you're face with it. Her death, for which I discovered today October 29, hurt me to my soul. She will be sorely missed by many of us. Rest in peace Momma Bear. Your loving cub Ronnie.
