Getting Better
I posted this on the outside of this cell for all of PRIDE Month 21 to honor everyone who was executed, imprisoned, and abused for simply being themselves, all around the world. We rest don't have the luxury not to become better people, and although it took me awhile to catch up, I'm finally bettering myself.

Getting Better 2 of 2
On the very last day of PRIDE 21, San Quentin State Prison Administration finally allowed for the condemned LGBTQIA+ Spirituality Group to session in the walk alone yard caged area outside of the upper yard.
Lt. Armas made all of this happened, after an almost 2 year struggle that got beyond ugly at times. We played a few CD's on a boombox of hidden beach unwrapped hip hop/ jazz instrumentals to set the tone of reunion, and a goodbye to our last tgirl Skyler, who is set to transfer to Chowchilla Women's Campus, as we all signed a copy of The AZANDE Press Zine Issue #11 for her to journey with.
Me, Sky, Pelone, Raynard and Randy held a special moment of silence for the COVID-19 virus caused passing of one former member Johnny Boy, as Raynard read the names of all tgirls that was murdered in 2020, and 2021. We then provided clarity to admins for the forthcoming 2 DVD-R's submissions of our Sound Mind Streamer program to SQTV Media Center, as a relaunch to provide LGBTQIA+ affirming content for LGBTQIA+ identifying residents.
Ending war is one thing, however, providing a safe place to land is now in order, Join us as we continue to serve each other. Happy PRIDE 2021
