Aramark Food Service

Well for some unknown reason the Florida Department of Correction issued Aramark with its food contract again, after a decade where Aramark ran the food service into the ground. And well history is repeating itself. For the past couple of months the food has been declining more and more each day. Now granted the food menu, when read sounds like great meals. When you see the preparation of said meals. All you can do is shake your head in disbelief that they would serve straight crap to any human being. And this lies at the door step of Secretary Ricky Dixon who allowed Aramark back into the FDOC. And not only allowed them back in, but the FDOC allows this prison contractor to use free inmate labor to make profits for those investing in Aramark stock on the U.S. stock exchange. Do we not see a problem with that? Slavery is supposed to be outlawed! But this is slavery when you force inmates into working free for a prison contractor who's making money for those investing in Aramark stick. And the inmates are forced into this slave labor. No ifs ands or buts about it! Its not bad enough that Aramark is cutting our calories and feeding us food that's not fit for human consumption, but using slave labor to manufacture profits for their investors. And people want to know why the FDOC can't find staffing?! Well look at the piss poor leadership and management of the contracts and how they treat the inmates. Action's speak louder than words, and these actions scream of injustice! If you don't have family and friends to financially support you, then your going to be in rough shape. But the thing is, now we go from one prison contractor victimizing us, to another whos' stealing from us with exuberant prices. Welcome to the Florida Department of Corruption where they victimize inmates, the families and staff. Change is needed, and that change surrounds banning prison profiteers from coming into the prison's and profiting off the poorest in our society. God bless you.
