"History Lesson"
Dear Btb,
Hi, it was "1976" when my oldest brother Johnny went in a woolworth store. It was late, I of course checked in my "stetson black cowboy hat". A reception girl Pamela Kay Hermann said I can come at closing to receive it.
The store is similar to a Walmart. Johnny Karen, a girl who was in the music department. It was then we checked out the stetson. I was into classic rock, boston, bad company, reo CCR tapes. As we were about to leave, the reception girl was already out in her 1971 Baloy Blue 4 de maverick. As we went out I saw her as Sue honked. As sue said, "Ill drive you to your house". It was when we necked andn talked. I was 17, Sue was 14. A dirty blonde with green eyes. We started dating the next day. I of course has a 1969 ford stepside truck f-100. I was in senior high but only took 2 classes, I got work also...
This was before I met your mother Eric... I dated and almost married her but it wasnt to be, she broke my heart...
Then in late 77 or 78 is when I met your mom Cherlyn. I was building my dream ride. It was the mid fall 1977, I was going to school as your mom ran out into the street on Atwell Dr. looking for her n*****. In a flimsy nighty she ask the next year in 1978 I would turn 18. Sue was 14. But of course I took her friend during a cold snowy morning. We did start to date... I was seeing a girl I met in art class while I was still at Westbury school. The girl I met, Linda Gates, was also a dirty blonde. We went to the beach and museum in Houston. I took Linda to my senior prom but of course my mind was on Cherlyn. In the pool, a red head. She took me out to Mickey Giles Bar, which burned down years later.
We married in 1980, yes you also came June 5, 1982.
Looking at houses, its when your name Eric. I said Eric Royce Alexander. Your mom and my mom (RIP) looked at me and said thats a strong name for a boy, my dad said what if Sue is a girl. I said Ericia Renee. But we already knew the Baby was a boy. But the love died out... In 1984 is when we separated. I also decided to take my 2nd oldest brother Mark Offer to move out to San Diego, Ca. It was a short stay, I of course met a very young girl "Trishy Brown".
Came back to Texas in which I got in trouble with the law. I ended up in jail. I of course stayed with my dad. Our mother passed in 83' right after your mom and I divorced. I met an old flame, Stephanie Felton... but it fizzled out quick. I began working, and met another girl, a hot mexican named Alpha Omega Gonzales. It how you are too Eric, we are alike, in so many ways. I know when we meet you will remember me... It was when you were only 2 years old I held you and kissed you, I could still hear "I love you daddy".
Soon they are going to give us "tablets". We will have access to phone and video visits on them, register your cell phone at 866-806-7804. Can you give me your physical address? I have to have it to put you in my visitation list. I know the split second we talk the tears will come... Here is my sister:
Claria L. Graves. : 1495 County Rd. 4644 Timpson TX 75975
John A Alexander: 109 N Ave B Freeport TX 77541
Mark G Alexander 2006 Isla Dr. Pearland TX 77581

Write them, your uncles, Johnny and Mark and your aunt Clark. Nothing is impossible. You have seen my name on your mom's family tree, you asked to come see me. You can change your last name back to Eric Royce Alexander (:
If I don't have the chance to see you now, I can when we meet in heaven. (: . I will never stop loving and caring for you. Never...ever...thats a promise.
Take care, give Conner a kiss and hug from his grandpa. Love, your dad. (signature) (: xoxoxo
