Parole Board

by James Collins (author's profile)

Transcription

Date: JUL. 21

Today I went before the Board of Prison Parole Commissioner.
They were hard on me.
I went into the meeting knowing that I would not get any sympathy toward parole
I needed to know what they thought of me.
I think that their clarity of me has put me on the right track.
Being a sex offender is not an easy roadmap to follow.
For me all the way up to now has been my safety first.
So I have been very elusive in taking part in therapy classes in the past.
But this prison's structure offers something that I can use to get a sex offenders program going
whereas in the past that was not possible.
Those road blocks are kind of lifted.

I know nothing about you, I've not looked you up and even if I did it would only tell me the police version of your story, which I do not care about. That said, I hope you will remember that the people in charge of parole processes in your state and country, and everywhere else for that matter, are full of shit. Just like me, they know nothing about you unless you tell them. Unlike me, they will never admit this obvious truth. They are too invested in their own self-righteous egos to acknowledge how little they can possibly know about you, your past, and of course about the future. Do not take them seriously. Play their game to gain release if you must, but do not let them control your mind. Arrogance often comes with power but that doesn't make either of those things right.
