Hygienes in jail, prison, detention center, and juvenile center.
Chemical are very important. Here at Pulaski State Prison we get two trays of chemical a day. They do spray our dorms. Which is important due to COV-19. Sanitation is very important. We clean our showers etc. But in my room we have two spray bottles, comic, and some bleach in a cranberry bottle. Its considered nuisance contraband but somethings shouldn't be considered contraband. So in one hairspray bottle we made up a airfreshner with the oil we can get. That is your poop spray. Then we have another bottle that has bleach water. We spray the toilet every time we use it. So the toilet is wiped down each time its used. Our room floor is mopped with citrus everyday. Every area of that cell is wipe down every day and throughout the day. People who don't clean, keep their hygienes up they are reported to mental health or somebody. One girl recently kept stuff and was just nasty - her roommate got her up out of the dorm because the whole room has to be lock down if someone has stuff or scabbies etc. Every facility needs to make sure their inmates are keeping every aspect of hygienes up personally in that institution. You have inmates that are just nasty. They don't bath, clothes wrinkled, don't brush their teeth, don't wash their hair, don't want to go to detail. All they do is lay in a bed. I am speaking from inmate point of view. My whole 26 years I've worked details, completed groups, Ged, got trades and college. It was mandatory that a inmate revamp for society. The system has gotten so far from that you go tinmates now laying in the bed all day long - don't know what a detail is. They goto work when they want to. People getting high on drugs and selling drugs. If you clean up the ones don't care will mess up. The state of Georgia has got to get the inmates mindset back in the habit you are here to change. You will do what I say. So many facilities inmates telling the staff what they ain't doing. I have never seen a system like the new one in operation for heaven sake the staff got to stop catering to people who need to change. I often tell the next inmate. I don't want nobody around me who is like me. I need people around me who he is going to be truthful. Say hey girl you need to work on that. Your attitude and hygiene all go together. I was shock to learn that two inmates parent put them in etiquette school. These two inmates are some of the most nasty in attitude I have ever met. I was like wow. All I could say. You never know around here - Everyday is amazing in the world called correction.
