Fr. John! I'm sorry I've taken so long to reply to your comments from late October! Thank you so much for checking in, for continuing to read my scribbles and rants on here. It really means a lot to me every time I hear from you. I appreciate your thoughts on the value of helping others learn how they might be affecting folks in here (the post was about the insensitive or inane comments from non-custody staff, like teachers in prison). Yes - a spiritual act of mercy. I see that. But isn't there also a verse about not casting one's pearls before swine? Or as my dad used to say: "Don't try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time, and annoys the pig." :)
By the way, you mentioned that the "Last line from your (my) transcriptionist" made you LOL. I don't think I saw the line you're referring to. Care to share?
I'm trying to really refocus my commitment to putting meaningful content on this blog. I'd love to get a plug for it on someone's YouTube or TikTok or Facebook, etc... you have any ideas of anyone who might post something for me? {prayer hands, hopeful look} Lol. :)
