Dear God
please forgive me
for all the wrong I caused
All I really want
is for the hands of time
to pause
Take the time
search my past
see all the hurt involved
At times
I take a glance
to see if my life evolved
Or if I'm trapped
in the same cycle
repeating the same actions
That get me
locked in this place
living life in the same fashion
Where did I go wrong
to bring this hurt to myself
I really need to know
so this confusion is felt
Bring deep from my heart
all flaws and imperfections
And help strengthen those parts
'cause I will fall without direction
I need your help God
and not afraid to say it
Give me the strength God
lift me to the top
to display it.
