AMERICA AN OPEN POEM
This poem is an open poem, which you can add your own four line verses. I was compelled to write this poem about America considering all the things that happened to this awesome country for the last century from WWI to 9/11. While we have not forgotten the history and the days of glory, the wars where America risked her own neck to save others. Yet, we who live in this great country (aliens and native citizens) have become stagnant in our loyalty and duties to this country which given us so much. (Even though the elite has taken so much).
And sometimes that dutiful loyalty has become something else, and used as an opposite energy to destroy "Lady Liberty". So I start this "Open Poem", to see where it leads. I have left s[ace that those who feel me on this would add in a literary their own verses. Copy this poem and add your own four lines verse and pass it on!
