BEYOND THE DARKNESS
Beyond the darkness He went
He shined and His glory gleamed
He restored the death in the deep
He brought with Him liberty and freedom
Beyond the darkness, Lord and light
Master of Shekinah, the embodiment of God
He wore the glory of God
Of Death and Hades, he tore their veils.
Beyond the darkness, He broke the chasm
Of separation by iniquity and sin
He cut short the sting of death
He restored Holiness to the earth
Beyond the darkness Eternity ran before Him
Spirits were set free and redeemed
He preached the Good News of peace and love
He wore righteousness and crushed error
He was born in the deep of the womb
In the wombs of many He formed and built
His body, the temple of the Holy Ghost
He built the door to the Holy of Holy
Beyond... He countered the pain and hurts
To take the shame reserved for thee
Spitting and stripes ye will n'er feel
Yet His spit gives sight, his stripes do heal
Beyond... the dead heard and rose
Hades, to its knees bow down
The sea and land obeyed and fled,
And stars cease to spin and shine
Beyond... He made the Sun dark,
The moon and Mars, he made sand.
The earth, He melted, made it ash.
The sea He dried up, cupped as tea.
Beyond and beyond He is Life eternal!
Beyond... He came in the midst of Darkness
Made dark, light, and sin righteousness
Beyond... in our state of flaw, made us flawless.
Now one can stand before a righteous God!
Beyond... He came, saw, and gave Love
He gave life and gave His blood
He saw much flaw, still gave His all
Beyond the darkness, He suffered and fiends fall!
