Dear Friend,
It's our great honor to introduce ourselves to you. We are The New Generation of Condemned Inmates here at San Quentin State Prison.
There is a new youth movement going on; a part of our growth spawned the creation of a new writer's workshop we call The Papyrus Collective. Enclosed, please find a copy of our second issue of our zine series, "Write or Die".
As a gift to you, we hope you'll enjoy our SPECIAL EDITION "Homage To Women", but we request that you share this issue with every woman that you associate with. Please use your resources by any means necessary to duplicate and disseminate it so that each incarcerated female can have her own issue. We're especially interested in reaching women in crisis situations and programs.
We welcome your interest and attention. If you'd like to have an article considered for submission in a future edition of Write or Die, or posted online at www.deathrowinmate.org, please mail photocopies only, as we cannot return them.
