Communication Retaliation
I'm traveling a long journey
using my bare feet,
at such a pace it'll take years
to complete.
Along the way, I communicated
with those close to me,
knowing this communication will
keep me carefree.
As the journey gets longer
communication gets less and less,
still focusing on my course
remembering when it was best.
I didn't choose this journey traveled
on bare feet,
but I know those who're close will
relinquish the burning heat.
All through the mountains, forest,
jungle, and desert,
now it's time to reach the one
known from birth.
Using all methods, I failed to
communicate,
this is something I surely didn't
anticipate.
Well, I forgive they must be on
a journey of their own,
too busy to communicate, even by
using a phone.
After so many hundreds of miles,
my feet becoming sore,
the one I speak of from birth
I vow to contact no more.
As this journey continues,
it may even extend,
thinking of the one from birth
knowing they have a friend.
Now with my communication I
must be fully aware
of the one from birth's allies
well equipped in truth or dare.
This journey will end with
those I appreciate;
it will end with those who
didn't communicate.
I'm a very peaceful person
I can never end with hate,
to bring closure to this journey
what's left... retaliate?
